Intro
220Grad makes coffee perceptible and tangible in it's entirety. The design concept at the Rupertinum location is intended to transfer the museum character of the immediate surroundings to the coffee. The focus at the new 220Grad is on active and barrier-free conversations between customers and baristas. To make this possible, a 12m long, sculptural concrete bar in the middle of the room forms the exhibition and communication area. In this way, customers and baristas are brought to eye level and the special architecture of the room and the museum is underlined.
Background
From coffee advice to enjoyment to the shop with their own coffee varieties, the customer at the bar gets a consistent and curated coffee experience. At the new 220Grad in the Museum of Modern Art in Salzburg the focus is on the desire to watch different types of coffee preparation, to be amazed and inspired - like in an exciting exhibition. Surrounded by the museum character, a fusion of the arts is created on all levels.
